Learn Spanish in Jaco

One of the best surfing locations in the world, Jaco is a beach lover’s paradise. The Spanish schools in Jaco make a great place to study a second language as well as get in a few excellent days of riding the waves. The town itself is relatively small and very friendly and has all the amenities of a much larger center in a “home town” atmosphere.

Hermosa Beach is known for excellent surfing waves virtually every day of the year. Playa Jaco, one of the beaches known for entertainment, is also a popular place for relaxing, swimming and just walking along the ocean and taking in the view. There are opportunities for sports fishing and cruising on the ocean, as well as hiking and exploring through the lush forests around Jaco.

Since the town is so small, everything from shopping to relaxing on the beach is just a short walk away. There are several casinos in Jaco, even a couple right on the beach. Gamblers can take a break from the games to stroll out on the beautiful patios and terraces for a gourmet lunch or dinner or take off their shoes and stroll along the beach.

There are several day trips that students attending the Spanish schools in Jaco can take. These include crocodile sighting tours, butterfly gardens, horseback riding, scuba and snorkeling trips, white water rafting and canopy tours. Jaco is also relatively close to San Jose so it's possible to stay in this resort town in the evening and easily travel to San Jose for shopping or sight seeing during the day or at the weekend. Most of the hotels and resorts provide transportation into the capital city.

Jaco is also known for its nightlife. Locals, visitors and those attending Spanish schools in Jaco spend the evenings walking to the various entertainment centers, cafes and bars, talking and listening to local artists and musicians perform. Often concerts and bands play outdoors to allow guest to enjoy the beautiful weather and lovely sunsets over the ocean.
